Okay beauties...here's the final installment of the OCC Lip Tars mixes!
Click HERE for pics of the Lip Tars for color reference.
Pageant with Feathered...lightened the hot pink a bit...LOL! Do I look like that controversial MAC Sugarsweet model? haha! Waay too bubblegum pink for ya girl!
Pageant with a tad bit of Tarred to darken...excuse the frown pic (sun in my face). I would rock this one as well!
Okay this is Pageant and more Tarred...I tried to just add a bit of Tarred but seriously...its so easy to add too much. So here's Pageant with more Tarred than I anticipated...very goth. There's something about this that I like...I have no idea where I would rock this type of lippie but...its not horrible.
Finally...Katricia and Pageant together. Still very bright. Huge difference in the natural and artificial light.
That's it! Whew! So let me know what you think. Any favorites? Any combos I should try that I haven't yet?
Have a great day, beauties!

OCC Lip Tars Swatches! Part III
OCC Lip Tars Swatches! Part II
Okay beauties...as promised here are some of the color mixes I did with the OCC Lip Tars.
I will admit that I was a bit lazy with these mixes. I didn't actually mix them up together before applying the mixed color to my lips...I applied a color and then would apply another color on top using my lip brush to blend them together. That's really the lazy way to mix. You can definitely get a better even mix of color by mixing before applying to the lips. But this worked for swatching purposes...
Here ya go! Go HERE for pics of the various colors lip tars for reference.
Uber with Feathered to lighten the color a bit. Pretty nude lip!
Katricia mixed with a TINY bit of Tarred to darken a little...err still not me but a little better. Now THAT'S purple!
Katricia w/more Tarred...I added a bit more Tarred to darken it up some more...vampy purple color is the result. Excuse the weird faces...LOL
Katricia with Uber...Uber worked well with this to tone the brightness of Katricia down a lot. I would definitely rock this!
OCC Lip Tars Swatches! Part I
Hey Beauties!
I did some swatching and mixing of the Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics (OCC) Lip Tars that I purchased at IMATS. Here ya go! I think I'll split the swatches up into a few posts...
First up...the colors! All the OCC lip tars are heavily pigmented, yet surprisingly smooth and creamy. I used a lip brush to apply each color evenly on the lips.
Feathered:
Katricia:
Pageant:
Tarred:
Uber:
Now on to the lips!
First up...Uber. Uber is a chocolate brown color. It's probably the only color I got that doesn't need any "tweaking" or mixing to work for me. It almost perfectly matches my skintone. As you'll see later you can use the white color, Feathered, to adjust the chocolate tone a little lighter if you prefer. You can manipulate this one to get that perfect flattering opaque nude lip.
Katricia alone...it actually flashes lighter than it appears on the lips but in pics its very close to a pasty lavendar donut. Will need tweaking. Its a bit brighter in person as well...
Pageant alone...I tried to get some natural light photos to show you how bright it is. I still don't think the photos show you JUST how bright this color is. Like shocking hot pink. Will need tweaking. I could have probably done a very light-handed application and made it work alone.
Next up...mixes!

Milan's Rouge Mondays! MAC Just A Pinch Gel Blush...
Happy Monday Beauties!
I'm FINALLY back with another installment of Rouge Mondays! It was really touch and go there for awhile but I'm happy to report that I'm feeling MUCH better (great, actually) and I'm back at work (eh!). LOL.
Today's Rouge is MAC's Just A Pinch gel blush from the Rose Romance collection which came out in March/April (can't recall...you know there's so many collections). I actually just recently purchased this when I was in the MAC store checking out some of the newer collections. I had seen it a few times before but never could get a good swatch of it and really didn't think it would work for me (I honestly think that the testers for these become REALLY crummy very quickly because they're sitting there open air and it just does something to the gel blush...dries it out or something). I could never get a good swatch of it. But on this one particular trip, I decided on a whim to give it a try.
I'm REALLY glad I did. It is such an every day EASY blush I would really recommend this for ANY woman who may not dig blush as much as me (haha) or who may just be a bit intimidated by application. It's almost foolproof. I mean you can't really mess this one up AT ALL. Its light and easily blendable (you can seriously use your fingers...I did!) and extremely natural...so much so that I had a hard time shooting pics of it because...well...most of the pics I took looked like I had NOTHING on my cheeks at all. But to me, that's the beauty of it. It translates VERY naturally in pictures and in-person it looks like...well...just a pinch of color on the cheeks as the name suggests. I'm sure most people wouldn't automatically be able to pinpoint that you're wearing blush with this one...it just gives your cheeks a healthy flush of color.
This is the first gel blush that I've used and I must say that I think out of all the textures of blushes I've tried...this is the most natural in terms of mimicking skin texture. I hope MAC and other companies come out with more gel blushes in the near future. I'm a fan.
Okay enough of all my rambling (I've so missed talking about blush!)...on to the pics!
Here it is in the pot:

And here it is on me:

Have you tried this gel blush? Let me know what you think!
Have a great day and a beautiful week!
