A couple months back I got the new Urban Decay Primer Potion (UDPP) in Sin. I love the original UDPP (it's a staple in my eyeshadow routine) so I was super excited to try this new shimmering champagne version.
So is UDPP Sin as good as the original? Did it keep my shadows fresh and creaseless all day long? Check my review to find out!
The Claim: "Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Sin combines incredible staying power with a shimmering champagne hue that complements almost any eyeshadow. This two-in-one beauty miracle can be worn alone to give eyes just a hint of tint for when you're in a hurry or in need of that "no makeup" look." taken from Sephora.com
- Sin is a beautiful shimmery champagne color (I can see myself using a MAC paint pot or the original UDPP to prime and then swiping my lid with this color in the summer for a pretty, no fuss, shimmery eye)
- As with the original UDPP, although i'm not a huge fan of the "genie bottle" shape, I love the brush applicator (its easy to dab on a small amount and blend out with your fingers)
- This color will also make a great highlighter!
- It didn't hold up to the staying power/creaseless test (my shadows faded and creased by the end of the day)-which was the main reason I purchased this product.
Overall Score: 2 out of 5
Recommendation: Honestly, unless you're in need of a shimmery champagne liquid shadow or a highlighter, I would say pass. If you're looking for an eyeshadow primer to wear under shadows to give them more ooomphf and staying power...save your money on this and just go for the original Urban Decay Primer Potion. :-)Have you tried UDPP in Sin?
Urban Decay Primer Potion in Original and Sin can be purchased at Sephora stores or online at Sephora.com for $17.
Take care, beauties. I hope the week is treating you well....today is April Fool's Day so be careful out there! :-)
